Axel’s Holiday Nursery Refresh

The nursery is officially ready for Christmas! Last year Axel was just a little bundle so creating holiday magic for him this year feels really special. I added a few festive changes to his nursery that have transformed this space into a woodsy winter wonderland. You can see the original reveal of his nursery here.

In the reading corner, the first thing I did was switch out the books in his bookshelves for some winter and holiday-themed stories.

I had the most fun decorating this little corner of his room. I hung a 10-inch faux wreath on the mirror with a command hook, draped some faux garland across the antique pine dresser and arranged white ceramic houses for a simple holiday look.

To compliment the wallpaper, I threw some pinecones in an antique bowl that I’ve had forever. I love the little pop of blue!

Now for his crib!

I replaced the gallery wall with this large faux wreath and I absolutely love the look. I think after the holidays, I’ll keep this wall simple with a large piece of of art rather than an arrangement.

The finishing touch was adding this 3-foot, pre lit tree! Axel loves to play with the ornaments and seeing the lights turn on and off. I found these great woodland themed ornaments at Target and they compliment the room so perfectly.

The nursery feels so cozy and magical just in time for the holiday season and I’m looking forward to LOTS of winter snuggles in here.
