Tips for Styling a Round Coffee Table

One of the most frequently asked questions I get is how to style a coffee table. Let me be the first to admit that styling a round coffee table can be tricky but it doesn’t have to be!

Today I am outlining a few tips for styling a round coffee table like a pro! keep in mind, these tips can totally apply to round and square coffee tables.

Use the Rule of Triangles

There is a fine line between a “styled coffee table” and a “cluttered coffee table!” To avoid disorganization, create three groupings in the shape of a triangle. This rule allows the coffee table to look full without the chaos.

Establish a Focal Point

When styling a mantel, a shelf or a coffee table, it’s important to establish a focal point. A focal point is the spot that stands out the most on the table. This can be a large vase filled with fresh flowers, a jar, or a sculptural object.

Create Layers

This is the fun part! Use a pretty tray to group items together and stack books to create height. Then, you can layer smaller accessories like little sculptural pieces, coasters, bowls, and beads!

Light a Candle

Nothing creates a cozier ambience than a lit candle. Pick a candle with a comforting scent and keep the matches close by!

Take a Walk

Take a step back and take a walk around your coffee table. Make sure you like the way it looks from all angles and voila - a perfectly styled coffee table!
